With all the other stitching I've done in my life, I've never even attempted or been interested in Chicken Scratch. This is making me stretch my limits and try something new. The stitches remind me of something you'd find near the hem of a kitchen apron. Cute.
I had some yellow and white gingham, so out it came for my first attempt. This is a very basic patter, in fact one of the ones suggested in the original challenge. I used pastel green and pink DMC perle cotton size 8 for the sitching.
I've been drawing up a new pattern which will incorporate some ribbon and varied stitches. Look for it on another day - no promises at this time.
