My most recent finish is on its way to its owner Scott Hansen, of Blue Nickle Quilts. His theme is Better Cottages and Gardens.
This was my first finish of four assigned stiching projects for the Flickr group Hoop Up! Stitch and Send Swap. The pattern is from doe-c-doe's vintage collection shared on Flickr. When I saw it, I saved it as it reminded me of my grandparent's home, a little log cabin with red trim - perfect for Scott's theme. Scott provided the yellow fabric and DMC 666 - red embroidery floss.
Although you can't see it well in the photos, the lazy daisies making up the heart shape are a very light yellow and the four in the "yard" are a very light pink.
